Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mowaffaq Yahya Hamdoun, the Center for Continuing Education at the Northern Technical University, in cooperation with the departments of media and public relations and the Scientific Affairs Department, held a workshop on the program of Turnitin and under the workshop, the scientific assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs. Assistant Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas al-Atarabi spoke about the importance of this program as it contributes to the scientific research and makes it eligible for admission and for publication in the scientific journals. The workshop included two sessions, the first by Dr. Amer Farhan Chit, chairman of the Executive Committee of the University presidency, who spoke about the difference between plagiarism and impersonation and the machinery of work of the program and the specifications to be provided in the user of the plagiarism program resident and examiner, and talked about the percentage Acceptable recovery in research, master theses and PhD, and explained the paragraphs of the program of recovery. The second lecture was given by Mr. Qusai Younis Hamed, official of the Scientific research Division of the University Presidency, member of the State Committee of government, who spoke about how to detect scientific borrowing and to demonstrate the interest of scientific and educational institutions in the world in detecting scientific borrowing and speaking about the definition The methods and procedures taken by Iraqi universities to reduce and rectify the phenomenon of recovery. The workshop was attended by Dr. Majedhamid Majeed, administrative assistant to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Azzawi, dean of the Administrative Technical College, and the directors of departments in the University presidency and a collection of researchers and interested.
