Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mowaffaq Yahya Hamdoun, president of the Northern Technical University, the Department of Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Department of Media and Public relations at the head of the Northern Technical University, held a workshop on “Drones and its civil applications”, which included two lectures, the first by Mr. Qusay Younis Hamed spoke about the drones. They were said to be marching planes of varying sizes, shapes and uses, and spoke of their most important mechanical and technical components that qualify them to perform various civilian tasks. The second lecture was by Dr. Omer Ibrahim Dalal Bashi on the civil uses of this type of aircraft, most notably agricultural uses in the fields of spraying pesticides, irrigation and seeds, and in the areas of reconstruction and construction and planning of spaces and health fields and preservation of the environment, and other Areas. In the workshop, many of the introductory films showed the importance of this type of aircraft for ease and flexibility, the workshop was attended by assistant Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas al-Attar, assistant rector for Scientific Affairs, assistant professor Dr. Majid Hamid, assistant rector for administrative affairs and a number of University and its personnel.
