ABOUT CENTER FOR COTINUNING EDUCATION

Abbreviation of the Continuous  Education Center:

The Center for Continuous Education (CEC) started its work in 2016 in coordination with the development center of the Technical Education Foundation to meet the requirements of the training of the northern technical colleges by designing and implementing the training programs and developing them based on the needs of the trainees in the following specialties (medical / engineering / management / information technology / agriculture / Educational / public) in addition to the preparation of training programs for employees in the government departments and private sector companies and members of the community in various specialties to develop and qualify them and improve their levels of performance in such a way that they can deal positively with the work environment and developments in which variables globally.

  1. Development Division:

This division is a major source of initiatives related to the training of teaching and technical staff through the organization of development programs for teaching staff at the university. As well as the implementation of training and development programs for modern teaching methods for newly appointed faculty members and then follow up the impact of these programs on the performance of each of them in the implementation of theoretical and practical lectures to achieve the largest proportion of the delivery of scientific material.

Main objectives of the Division:

1-Developing the teaching staff at the university especially the newly appointed and qualifying them to perform their teaching and research duties through the implementation of training programs in this field.

2 -Implementing the aspirations and policies of the university through training programs related to modern scientific developments in order to keep abreast of the development in all scientific fields such as prestigious international universities.

3 -The preparation and implementation of training plans according to the needs of faculty members at the university in order to develop the academic and research side.

4-Preparation and implementation of  training workshops,  and scientific meetings for the purpose of discussing and updating the latest scientific developments by the faculty members of the university

5-Enhancing communication with local, regional and international universities through exchanging experiences in all scientific fields through training and development programs.

  1. Division of Administration:

The task of the division of administration is limited to the following:

1-Identify and configure the needs of the center of teaching and technical and administrative staff with the preparation of all plans related to administrative affairs.

2-Issuing and archiving all decisions issued by the Center’s management, electronically and as paper documents, classifying documents, official letters, official records and documents.

3-Issuing administrative orders, receiving, handing over and distributing the outgoing and incoming mail to and from the center and following up the official correspondence, documenting and archiving it electronically. 4-Record the minutes of meetings held by the Center’s management with the officials of the people and the units in the colleges and institutes of the university and inform the employees of the center of the administrative decisions taken by the administration after their adoption. 5-processing and rehabilitation of buildings and spaces of the center.

6- Maintaining the center’s assets like communication devices and control over all administrative services.

7-Organizing requests’ applications on all devices and providing office tools and stationaries.

8- Preparing and organizing the files of the center’s staff, with the provision of new staff premises and the necessary office equipment.

– Training Division

The training division is responsible for planning and setting up training and development programs in all scientific disciplines according to the annual training programs prepared by the Division and by the colleges and institutes in the university in light of the needs of the field of work.

Objectives of the Training Division:

  1. Planning and implementing on-site training programs in the field of work for employees of state departments and institutions in all scientific disciplines and according to the needs of those departments and institutions as well as the private sector and individuals.
  2. Monitor all developments, scientific renewing, professional fields, and prepare them in the form of training programs.

3 – Strengthening communication and cooperation between the Center for Continuous Education at the University and the Continuous Education Centers in other universities locally, regionally and globally with the aim of exchanging experiences and expertise in this field and issuing an annual guide to training programs.

Ibn Sina Electronic Education Division:

E-learning is one of the methods adopted in the provision of education and training programs. This is accomplished by conveying the concepts of the scientific material and the educational skills of the participants according to an integrated computer system in order to facilitate the interaction between the learners and the teacher using modern information technologies and means of communication and multimedia such as (internet, e-mail, And other means of communication) so that the participant can communicate and interact with the content of the training material and the lecturer and his colleagues simultaneously or asynchronously that this type of education allows for To communicate and interact with the training material and the lecturer and his colleagues in the time and place that the participant finds suitable for him. The participant is able to manage all the requirements related to the educational and training activities through electronic systems equipped for these rooms so that the learner can benefit from electronic books, periodicals, encyclopedias and digital libraries.

There are several types of e-learning depends on the techniques used in communication and the method of education and training tools used in the most important of which are:

A- distance education

B- Education mixed

C- Mobile or transferred education

D- Conductive education

E- Non-consensual education

Objectives of e-learning:

1 -Instant communication between learners and teachers.

2 -Communicating and expressing the views of learners among themselves and the learners and the teacher.

3 -The existence of dialogue rooms, forums and discussion boards allow learners to communicate and express their views.  Allowing dialogue between learners among themselves and the learners and teacher at all times and outside official working hours.

4 -Choosing the appropriate method that the learner wants to acquire from the scientific material and this leads to reduce the administrative burden and reduce the burden of work.

5 -Enabling persons whose conditions do not allow education to join the scientific material and communicate with the teacher
